Nineteen Azerbaijani nationals who were on vessels hit in a June 5 drone attack in the Sea of Azov have been brought back to Azerbaijan.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they are expected to arrive in Azerbaijan later today, The Caspian Post reports, citing Report.
The ministry also said that search and rescue operations have led to the recovery of the bodies of two more victims - Gismat Aliyev (born in 1969) and Fuad Orujov (born in 1981).
According to the statement, after completion of the relevant procedures, the bodies of four deceased citizens, as well as two citizens who remained in the city of Yeysk, are expected to be sent to Azerbaijan in the coming days.
The MFA noted that on June 5, drones struck cargo vessels Natra and Zircon in the Sea of Azov. Of the 25 Azerbaijani citizens on board, four were injured and four were killed. The vessels were not owned by Azerbaijan, according to earlier reports.
