Azerbaijan and the United States Have Discussed Opportunities for Enhanced Cooperation in Humanitarian Demining, According To the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA).

ANAMA Chairman of the Board Vugar Suleymanov met with Amy Carlon, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

During the meeting, information was presented on the mine problem in Azerbaijan and the current progress of humanitarian demining operations. Possible areas of US support, as well as other issues of mutual interest, were also discussed.
