Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan Discuss Boosting Tax Efficiency in Gas Sector Operations

Zaur Gurbanov, Vice President of Azerbaijan’s State Oil Company (SOCAR), met with Sherzod Kudbiyev, Chairman of Uzbekistan’s State Tax Committee, on the sidelines of the technical session of the 29th General Assembly of the Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA), held in Baku, The Caspian Post reports citing Azertac.

According to SOCAR, the meeting explored the impact of various business models on the taxation process based on the company’s experience, and continued cooperation on the exchange of experience.

The sides exchanged views on tax efficiency in gas production, processing, transportation and retail sales, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
