Azerbaijan Attends WADA Forum in Tashkent

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Hosted An International Forum Titled "Strengthening Global Anti-Doping Governance: Harmonization, Compliance, And Regional Cooperation" In The Uzbek Capital City Of Tashkent.

Azerbaijan was represented by Tahmina Taghizade, Executive Director of Azerbaijan National AntiDoping Agency, The Caspian Post reports, citing AZERTAC.

The opening ceremony featured addresses by WADA President Witold Bańka, Uzbek Minister of Sports Adkham Ikramov, and Uzbekistan National Anti-Doping Agency (UzNADA) Director General Abdushukur Sadykov.

The forum focused on identifying priority tasks for the coming years, with a particular emphasis on ensuring full compliance with the WADA Code and safeguarding the health and rights of athletes. Throughout the sessions, representatives from participating countries shared their experiences, achievements, and challenges, while analyzing effective strategies for regional cooperation in the global fight against doping.

The event brought together approximately 200 government officials, heads of national anti-doping organizations, and international experts.
