Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Bahamas Foreign Minister Frederick Mitchell on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

The meeting focused on prospects for developing bilateral and multilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Bahamas, according to the Azerbaijani foreign ministry's message on X.

The two ministers exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and highlighted the importance of establishing a strategic dialogue between the two countries.

Bayramov and Mitchell also discussed identifying new areas for mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthening existing ties.

Following the meeting, the ministers signed the “Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.”
