On September 23, 2026, Rovshan Najaf, President of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), met with Orhan Remzi Karadeniz, Chairman of the Board of Türkiye’s Karpowership.

During the meeting, the guests were briefed on SOCAR’s global expansion strategy and projects being implemented by the company in various countries, The Caspian Post reports.

It was noted that, as SOCAR expands its international presence, it is placing particular emphasis on establishing strategic partnerships across different segments of the energy value chain and diversifying its investment portfolio.

The sides discussed opportunities for joint activities between SOCAR and Karpowership in international markets, including potential cooperation in power generation, energy infrastructure, new energy solutions, and other areas of mutual interest.
