Azerbaijan, China Launch $1 Billion Joint Investment Fund

Azerbaijan Investment Holding (AIH) and China’s Silk Road Fund (SRF) are establishing a joint investment fund with total capital of 7.5 billion Chinese yuan, or approximately $1 billion.

The initiative was announced during the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, according to AIH.

The new fund will finance investment projects in Azerbaijan as well as other countries participating in China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

The fund will provide a framework for the two institutions to jointly assess investment opportunities and finance promising projects.

The new mechanism is also expected to expand investment cooperation between Azerbaijan and China and attract long-term capital for projects across various sectors.

The creation of the joint investment fund builds on a framework agreement signed by AIH and SRF in April 2025.
