Azerbaijan Clears 3,583.8 Hectares of Mines and UXOs in Liberated Areas in January

Azerbaijan's Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) reported that comprehensive demining operations were carried out throughout January in several districts, including Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Khojavand, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan.

During the operations, 505 anti-personnel mines, 257 anti-tank mines, and 1,497 unexploded ordnances (UXOs) were discovered and neutralized, The Caspian Post reports.

In total, 3,583.8 hectares were cleared of mines and UXOs over the past month, ANAMA reported.
