Azerbaijan, Japan Discuss Expanding Cooperation in Digital Technologies

Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Samaddin Asadov, met with Hideo Fuseda, Vice-Minister for Policy Coordination (International Affairs) at Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, to discuss ways to expand bilateral cooperation.

The meeting focused on strengthening ties in digital development and information and communication technologies (ICT), sharing expertise in artificial intelligence, digital transformation and innovation, and exploring opportunities to implement joint projects, The Caspian Post reports, citing the ministry.

The two sides also exchanged views on finalizing an Action Plan for cooperation in ICT and postal services, Azerbaijan’s participation in the Hiroshima AI Process, and the use of ICT in disaster prevention and management.
