Ismat Sattarov, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Audiovisual Council, met with Alim Bayel, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of audiovisual media.
During the meeting, Chairman Sattarov provided Ambassador Bayel with an overview of the Council’s mandate, ongoing reforms, regulatory progress in the audiovisual sector, and strategic development plans for the future, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.
Sattarov highlighted the deep-rooted ties between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, noting that the two brotherly nations share common ethnic roots, language, culture, and historical traditions. He emphasized that relations between the countries are at a high level and pointed to significant untapped potential for collaboration between their media institutions, including television and radio broadcasters.
He underlined the importance of implementing joint projects in the audiovisual field, fostering knowledge exchange, and building sustainable, mutually beneficial partnerships.
Ambassador Bayel, expressing gratitude for the warm reception, noted that bilateral relations are thriving across multiple sectors. He reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s interest in enhancing cooperation between media outlets, particularly television broadcasters.
He also stressed the value of reciprocal broadcasting agreements and collaboration to address technical and legal challenges in the sector. Ambassador Bayel expressed his enthusiasm for serving in Azerbaijan and his commitment to further strengthening ties between the two countries.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on other matters of mutual interest.
