Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan Hold Talks on Electricity Exports and Green Energy


The Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency has announced that Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan engaged in discussions to explore new avenues of cooperation in the energy sector, with a focus on electricity export, system regulation, and renewable energy development.

The meeting took place between Samir Akhundov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency, and a delegation from Kyrgyzstan led by Bapa Zhanibekov, Director General of the Kyrgyz Electricity Settlement Center, who is currently on a visit to Azerbaijan, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

During the talks, both sides exchanged insights into the structure and capabilities of their respective energy systems. The discussion covered a range of strategic topics, including frequency regulation in power grids, opportunities for cross-border electricity trade, implementation of automated systems for energy balance monitoring, and prospects for cooperation in the development of renewable energy sources.
