Azerbaijan Medical University Trains First Female Military Doctors

Azerbaijan Medical University is training female military doctors for the first time in its history.

In the current academic year, the university’s Military Medical Faculty has admitted 110 male students and 10 female students to this specialized program, The Caspian Post informs via local media.

The move represents a significant step toward greater gender inclusion in Azerbaijan’s military medicine, offering women the opportunity to serve as qualified medical professionals in the armed forces.

The program combines rigorous medical education with military training, preparing graduates to meet the unique demands of healthcare in defense settings.
