Azerbaijan, Hungary Strengthen Healthcare Ties with New Deal

Azerbaijan and Hungary have signed a quadrilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost cooperation in the healthcare sector.

The agreement involves Azerbaijan Medical University, Hungary’s University of Pécs, as well as pharmaceutical companies PannonPharma and Scandens Pharmaceuticals, The Caspian Post reports.

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the 11th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the two countries, held in Budapest. Azerbaijan’s delegation was led by the Commission’s Co-Chairman and Minister of Finance, Sahil Babayev.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas, including trade, investment, energy, health, labor, social protection, science, education, culture, tourism, and food security.
