Azerbaijan’s rhythmic gymnastics group has continued its impressive run at the 32nd World University Games, securing a third medal in the competition organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU).
The team, composed of Laman Alimuradova, Kamilla Aliyeva, Yelyzaveta Luzan, Darya Sorokina, and Gullu Aghalarzade, delivered a strong performance in the group routine featuring three balls and two hoops, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
Their routine earned a total of 23.950 points, securing the silver medal.
Ukraine finished in first place to take the gold.
This silver medal marks the third podium finish for Team Azerbaijan at this year’s Universiade. Earlier, the team won medals in both the all-around and the five ribbons events, further solidifying their position as one of the competition’s standout squads.
