Azerbaijan, Russia’s Astrakhan Explore New Avenues for Bilateral Cooperation

Rahman Mustafayev, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Russia, has met with Igor Babushkin, Governor of the Astrakhan Region, to discuss prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation.

Governor Babushkin underscored that Azerbaijan remains a key partner for the region, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

“In the first half of the year, fish exports to Azerbaijan increased by 5 per cent, while shipments of vegetables and flour products are also growing. Enhancing transport infrastructure is crucial to further boost trade,” he said.

The talks also addressed cultural collaboration, seen as a complement to economic ties. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continue joint efforts aimed at developing comprehensive cooperation and implementing mutually beneficial projects.
