Azerbaijan's Export Volume to Armenia Surpasses $11M

Azerbaijan exported goods worth more than $11.27 million to Armenia in January-May 2026.

In May alone, exports amounted to $1.63 million, reflecting continued trade flows between the two countries, The Caspian Post reports via Report.

At the same time, Azerbaijan’s indirect imports from Armenia remained minimal, totaling just $960 over the five-month period. No imports were recorded in May.

Overall, Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover reached $20.79 billion in the first five months of 2026, marking a slight 0.85% decrease compared to the same period last year.

Exports accounted for $13.97 billion of the total, while imports stood at $6.82 billion. Over the past year, exports increased by 27%, while imports declined by 31.6%.

As a result, Azerbaijan recorded a strong positive trade balance of $7.15 billion, nearly seven times higher year-on-year, highlighting the country’s expanding export strength despite fluctuations in overall trade volume.
