The implementation of the Great Return concept, initiated under the directive of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, continues making significant progress as families resettle in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories.
On September 20, a new group of residents-previously residing in temporary facilities such as dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings-departed from Tartar to begin a new chapter in Kalbajar, one of the cities extensively reconstructed following its liberation, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
Some 29 families, comprising a total of 115 individuals, have officially moved into their newly rebuilt houses in Kalbajar. The relocation represents another key milestone in the government's ongoing efforts to restore infrastructure, services, and community life across formerly occupied areas.
The Great Return concept underscores Azerbaijan’s commitment to ensuring the safe, dignified, and voluntary return of internally displaced persons (IDPs), while also facilitating sustainable development in the liberated areas.
