Azerbaijan’s Naval Forces Sharpen Skills with Anti-Submarine and Crisis Response Exercises

The Azerbaijani Naval Forces have carried out a series of tactical exercises focused on anti-submarine defense and emergency response procedures while anchored, as part of their 2025 combat training plan.

The primary objective of the drills was to improve the operational readiness of naval personnel in organizing anti-submarine defenses and to test the crew’s preparedness for emergency situations at anchorage, The Caspian Post informs via the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.

As part of the exercise, sailors conducted live firefighting drills, practiced first aid procedures, and simulated the evacuation of wounded personnel-scenarios designed to replicate real-world emergencies.

The drills are part of broader efforts to strengthen the Azerbaijani Navy’s defensive capabilities, ensure combat readiness, and boost overall resilience in maritime operations.
