Speaker of Azerbaijan’s parliament, Sahiba Gafarova, has arrived in Addis Ababa for an official visit aimed at strengthening ties between Azerbaijan and Ethiopia.

Gafarova was welcomed at Addis Ababa International Airport by Deputy Speaker of the House of People's Representatives Lomi Bedo and Ethiopian State Minister for Foreign Affairs Ambassador Berhanu Tsegaye, The Caspian Post reports via the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry's message on X.

During her visit, Gafarova is expected to hold talks with senior Ethiopian officials to discuss the current state of bilateral relations and explore new opportunities for cooperation.

The discussions will focus on further strengthening political and parliamentary ties between Azerbaijan and Ethiopia, as well as expanding collaboration across a range of sectors.
