A delegation from Azercosmos, Azerbaijan’s Space Agency, highlighted the country’s expanding space capabilities and economic vision at the Southeast Asian Space Leaders’ Forum, held as part of the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF-31) in the Philippines.
Addressing the event, Fuad Aslanov, Vice Chairman of the Board of Azercosmos, briefed participants on the Azerspace-1 and Azerspace-2 telecommunications satellites, the “Azconnexus” satellite internet solutions contributing to the development of the digital economy in the region, as well as Azerbaijan’s Earth observation capabilities, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.
Additionally, a meeting was held between Azercosmos and the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA), focusing on prospects for cooperation in satellite communication services, Earth observation applications, human capital development, joint space initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region, and the organization of mutual technical missions.
