Azerbaijan Signs MoU with Geneva Centre to Enhance Demining Support

The Mine Action Agency of the Azerbaijan Republic (ANAMA) and the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening support for demining activities across the country.

Under the agreement, the two sides will collaborate in key areas such as enhancing ANAMA’s operational capacity, advancing strategic planning, raising public awareness about the risks posed by explosive remnants of war, and implementing joint projects, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

The memorandum also covers initiatives for knowledge and experience exchange, as well as organizing specialized training programs to further improve the efficiency and safety of demining operations in Azerbaijan.
