Israeli and Iranian fighter jets reportedly carried out military maneuvers over Syria and Iraq overnight, amid growing tensions over the possibility of renewed hostilities in the region.

Israeli aircraft practiced strikes against Iran from Syrian airspace, while Iranian aircraft crossed into Iraqi airspace and conducted counter-maneuvers, according to Military Columnist.

The reported activity comes as US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth arrived in Israel to discuss the possibility of resuming military operations against Iran and Yemen’s Houthi movement.
