Azerbaijan, South Korea Strengthen Ties in Digital Development and AI

A high-level meeting at Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Digital Development and Transport with Changhee Lee, Executive Vice President and CEO of the Korea Association for ICT Promotion (KAIT), has focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in telecommunications, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and capacity-building initiatives.

During the discussions, Samir Mammadov, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, outlined Azerbaijan’s ongoing efforts to advance its digitalization and innovation ecosystem, The Caspian Post informs via local media.

Mammadov noted that in 2025, the country adopted two key national strategies: the Concept of Digital Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025-2028.

Both sides also explored opportunities for Korean technology firms to establish representative offices in Azerbaijan and create knowledge-driven joint ventures, further strengthening technological cooperation between the two nations.
