Azerbaijan Strikes Bronze At World Junior Judo Championships In Bulgaria

The Azerbaijani national team has celebrated another achievement at the World Junior Judo Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Competing in the 60 kg weight category, Zeyd Alasgarov captured the bronze medal, defeating Japan’s Toai Hashima by ippon in the decisive bout, The Caspian Post informs via local media.

His victory secured third place overall, adding a proud moment to Azerbaijan’s growing judo legacy.

The competition was held at the Asics Arena and brought together 551 judoka from 71 countries, competing across various weight categories.
