Azerbaijani Defense Minister Attends Vietnam National Day Celebrations During Official Visit

Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov is on an official visit to Vietnam and on September 2 attended the ceremony at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam’s National Day.

The event, attended by state officials, foreign delegations, and large numbers of citizens, honored Vietnam’s historic struggle for independence and highlighted the country’s achievements in national unity and socialist development, The Caspian Post reports via the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.

The celebrations included official speeches, literary and artistic performances, a military orchestra, cultural programs, and a military parade. During his visit, Hasanov is also scheduled to hold meetings with Vietnam’s head of state and senior military leaders to strengthen bilateral defense cooperation.
