SOCAR Türkiye company has said that the total volume of Azerbaijani natural gas delivered to Europe through the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) reached 50 billion cubic meters (bcm).
This milestone represents a historic achievement within the framework of the energy bridge connecting Azerbaijan and Europe, The Caspian Post reports via the company.
Natural gas produced at the Shah Deniz field is transported to Türkiye via the South Caucasus Pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum) and TANAP. The first gas through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline reached the Turkish market in 2007, while commercial deliveries via TANAP commenced on June 30, 2018.
