BTC Pipeline Secures 75% Share of Azerbaijan’s Crude Transport

The Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee has announced that from January to August 2025, Azerbaijan’s main oil pipelines transported a total of 24.57 million tons of crude oil.

The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline continued to serve as the country’s main export route, accounting for 18.36 million tons, or 74.7 percent of the overall volume moved during the period, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

Of the oil transported via BTC, approximately 15.5 million tons, or 84.3 percent, was produced in Azerbaijan. The remaining 15.7 percent-about 2.89 million tons-was sourced from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
