Czech Transport Minister Ivan Bednárik will visit Azerbaijan as part of an official tour of Central Asia and the South Caucasus.
The delegation’s regional tour is scheduled for October 11-16 and will include a visit to Baku, according to the Czech Transport Ministry.
During his stay in Azerbaijan, Bednárik will be accompanied by a business delegation representing Czech companies under the auspices of the Confederation of Industry and Transport of the Czech Republic (SP ČR).
The visit will focus on expanding cooperation in rail transport, logistics, multimodal transportation, civil aviation and related infrastructure. The program will include business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) meetings as well as business forums.
The business mission is aimed at companies already operating in the region or preparing to launch new projects, including initiatives linked to the European Union’s Global Gateway strategy.
The visit is expected to provide an opportunity for Czech and Azerbaijani companies to explore new transport and logistics projects and strengthen business ties between the two countries.
