Kazakhstan’s President has appointed Tatiana Saveliyeva as Deputy Defense Minister.
The appointment follows Saveliyeva’s recent departure from the Kazakh Qurultay, where she served as a deputy, according to Qazinform News Agency.
Born on April 11, 1976, Saveliyeva graduated from Akmola Agrarian University and Eurasian National University.
She has held several positions in Kazakhstan’s financial and budgetary system, including roles in the finance department, state budget department, budget planning department, budget police, and planning department.
From 2014 to 2016, Saveliyeva headed the Budget Planning Department at Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Finance. She then served as Vice Minister of Finance from 2016 to 2023.
From 2023 to 2026, she was a deputy of the Kazakh Majilis of the VII convocation.
