Jerusalem to Host 4th Azerbaijan–Israel Joint Intergovernmental Commission Meeting

Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, met with Israeli Finance Minister Zeev Elkin to discuss the economic ties between their countries.

"Within the framework of our working visit to the State of Israel, we held a meeting with Zeev Elkin, Minister at Israel's Ministry of Finance and Co-Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Israel Joint Commission," Jabbarov wrote on X, The Caspian Post reports.

They exchanged views on the activities of the Joint Commission, the prospects for advancing bilateral economic relations, and the effective realization of the existing business partnership potential, according to the Azerbaijani economy minister.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy told Report that the 4th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Israel Joint Intergovernmental Commission will be held today in Jerusalem.

Trade between Azerbaijan and Israel totaled $69.64 million in January-October of this year. Azerbaijan's exports to Israel amounted to $21.47 million, representing 0.10% of the country's total exports. Imports from Israel reached $48.17 million, accounting for 0.25% of total imports.

In the first half of the year, Azerbaijan's direct foreign investment in the Israeli economy stood at $542.54 million, making up 40.2% of Azerbaijan's total outward direct investments. Compared to the same period last year, investment volume increased 1,356 times - an annual rise of $542.14 million.
