The United Kingdom has reaffirmed its readiness to support the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, with UK Minister of State for Europe, North America, and Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty stressing London’s commitment to advancing the peace process during his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Doughty congratulated President Aliyev on the historic outcomes achieved in Washington on August 8, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
He reaffirmed the UK’s readiness to support this process moving forward.
The minister also underscored the significance of the Washington agreements for strengthening regional transport connectivity, noting their broader importance for stability and cooperation in the South Caucasus.
