Türkiye has expressed its support for the progress made toward lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, following the signing of a trilateral peace roadmap between the two South Caucasus countries and the US.
In an official statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry commended the commitment recorded during the Washington summit, noting that the agreement comes at a time when international conflicts and crises are intensifying, The Caspian Post reports via the ministry’s message on X.

The ministry described the development as a major step forward, stating it constitutes a highly significant development for the promotion of regional peace and stability. It also acknowledged the role of the US Trump administration for its efforts in facilitating the peace process.
"A historic opportunity has emerged for the South Caucasus to attain peace and prosperity. As Türkiye, we will continue to contribute to the efforts aimed at realizing this opportunity and support the dedicated endeavors of our brotherly Azerbaijan," the ministry added.
The joint declaration was signed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and US President Donald Trump during a trilateral summit at the White House.
