President of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Annalena Baerbock, and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan have held discussions focused on advancing peace agreements between Baku and Yerevan.
“Today, I met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, H.E. Mr. Ararat Mirzoyan. We discussed the initialed peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan as well as priorities for the 80th session of the General Assembly,” The Caspian Post reports via Baerbock’s message on X.

The Azerbaijani leader and the Armenian prime minister, in the presence of the US president, signed a joint declaration consisting of seven key points in Washington on August 8.
One of the provisions of the declaration addresses the launch of the Zangezur Corridor (also referred to as the "Trump Route") as part of efforts to unblock regional transport and communication links.
In addition, the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia initialed an Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations, marking a significant step toward normalizing ties between the two countries.
