Uruguayan news outlet Diario La R has spotlighted the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, describing it as one of the world's leading international gatherings dedicated to journalism, communications, and the evolving role of the media.
Its delegation traveled to Baku to cover the forum, with Diario La R represented by its General Director, Juan Blanco, The Caspian Post reports via Diario La R.
The newspaper noted that the event is expected to bring together more than 150 delegates from over 50 countries, including journalists, media executives, academics, representatives of international organizations, and communications experts.
The article also highlighted Shusha as a symbol of the restoration and reconstruction of Azerbaijan's liberated territories, underscoring the city's significance as the forum's host.
The forum's agenda includes conferences, panel discussions, and bilateral meetings focusing on the challenges facing modern journalism amid the spread of disinformation, geopolitical tensions, and rapid technological change.
According to Diario La R, one of the forum's central themes is the media's role in restoring historical truth, promoting fact-based narratives, and strengthening peace, cooperation, and mutual understanding among nations.
