Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries aim to increase regional trade to $20 billion and develop joint production under the “Made in Central Asia” brand, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at the CAMCA Regional Forum 2026 in Baku.
“The clearest vision of our future is seen in relations between the South Caucasus and Central Asia. For many years, we have been becoming part of this regional architecture,” Jabbarov said, according to Report.
The minister noted that political ties between Azerbaijan and Central Asia deepened in November 2025, when Azerbaijan became a full participant in the Consultative Meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia in Tashkent.
Azerbaijan was the first country from outside Central Asia to join the format.
Jabbarov also said that the first meeting of the trade and investment ministers of Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries was held several days ago.
“Our goal is to bring regional trade to $20 billion and create joint production under the Made in Central Asia brand,” he said.
Jabbarov highlighted the creation of joint investment funds with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan as another area of growing economic cooperation.
The minister said that the funds bring several medium-sized markets together on a single investment platform. Azerbaijan holds a stake of at least 50% in each of the funds.
“Thus, Azerbaijan and the Central Asian countries are forming a single economic space connected with Türkiye and Europe on one side and Asia on the other,” Jabbarov added.
