Azerbaijan Fashion Week Kicks Off 19th Season in Baku

Azerbaijan Fashion Week, themed "On the Great Silk Road," kicked off its 19th season in Baku as part of the "Baku Creative Week 2025" cultural festival, organized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan.

The aim of the festival is to strengthen cultural cooperation among the OIC member states, support the development of creative industries, as well as promote mutual understanding and common cultural values, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

The “Oriental Fashion Show” was presented as part of the festival program. Designers from 9 countries demonstrated their collections reflecting the depth and elegance of the Eastern world:

∙ Azerbaijan: Gulnara Khalilova and Uventa;

∙ Sultanate of Oman: Yoland Fashion House;

∙ Egypt: Hany El-Behairy Couture;

∙ Bahrain: Naseem Alandalos;

∙ Morocco: Wafa Idrissi and Maison Fatim;

∙ Kazakhstan: Malique;

∙ Turkmenistan: Gowher Gouvernet;

∙ Uzbekistan: Art by Sofia;

∙ Tajikistan: Umed Kuchkaliev.

Each designer brought their own unique creative vision to the podium. Their collections reinterpret centuries-old traditions with contemporary artistic expression, showcasing the timeless beauty of Eastern haute couture and its growing presence on the world arena.
