Azerbaijani Culture Showcased in Belgium

An event showcasing Azerbaijani culture took place at the Conservatory of Verviers in Belgium's Wallonia region, organized by the BUTAM Azerbaijani Cultural Association and the Azerbaijani Embassy in Belgium.

Bernard Lange, Director of the conservatory, stressed the importance of such cultural initiatives, The Caspian Post reports citing local media.

Yasaman Abbasi, co-founder of BUTAM, highlighted the organization's efforts, expressing her gratitude to the leadership of Conservatory of Verviers for cooperation.

Michel Ivor, Belgian expert on intercultural relations, highlighted the rich heritage of Azerbaijani music and the importance of its international promotion.

Vagif Sadigov, Azerbaijan's ambassador to Belgium, emphasized the importance of promoting Azerbaijani culture in Europe, briefing the audience on the developing bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Belgium.

Azerbaijani national musical instruments - tar, kamancha and gaval were donated to the Conservatory of Verviers.

The performance of the dance group of “FireLand” Azerbaijanis Community operating in Belgium aroused great interest among the participants.
