Azerbaijani Director's Short Film to Premiere at Cannes

The short film "Green Grass," written and directed by Nurlan Hasanli, which is currently in production, won the pitching competition at the Linz Film Talent Academy in Austria, earning the opportunity to be showcased at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Linz Film Talent Academy, which supports young filmmakers, was established to contribute to the development of short and debut feature films with a strong artistic vision and to present them to the international film market, The Caspian Post reports citing local media.

The film "Green Grass" tells the tragicomic story of a tourist guide from Baku and his wife seeking to migrate to United States.
