The Baku International Multiculturalism Center (BIMC) and the Higher Committee for Human Fraternity, based in the United Arab Emirates, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation during the forum "The Ties That Bind: A Journey Toward Understanding and Human Fraternity," held as part of the Venice Film Festival.
The purpose of the document is to promote the principles of tolerance, mutual respect, and human fraternity, to strengthen cooperation between the parties, as well as to implement joint projects on a regional and global scale, The Caspian Post reports citing AZERTAC.
Under the memorandum, the parties will exchange information and publications, collaborate in supporting youth initiatives, develop intercultural exchange programs, and organize training sessions to build capacity. Additionally, they will hold joint international conferences, seminars, and awareness-raising campaigns.
The memorandum, signed for a period of two years, also envisages the promotion of research on human fraternity through the academic network of the BIMC and the development of mechanisms for monitoring the results.
The MoU will serve to strengthen friendly and cooperative relations between peoples, and to strengthen the atmosphere of mutual trust and understanding. This cooperation will also make a notable contribution to the deepening of dialogue between different cultures and religions, the wider spread of traditions of tolerance, and the strengthening of young people's commitment to the values of peace and coexistence.
The implementation of the document will open up new opportunities for the promotion of humanistic principles, the protection of multicultural values, and the strengthening of peace and stability not only between the two sides but also on a regional and global scale.
The Higher Committee for Human Fraternity is an international body committed to promoting the values of human unity and cooperation inspired by the Document on Human Fraternity. Its principal mission is to inspire and cultivate unity and collaboration globally, promoting empathy and addressing social issues, and to promote a world where every individual is valued by fostering coexistence and fraternity through shared humanity.
