Paris Hosts Event for Uzeyir Hajibayli’s 140th Anniversary

A musical evening celebrating the 140th anniversary of the birth of renowned Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibayli was held in Paris, co-organized by the Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora and pianist Saida Zulfugarova.

The musical evening opened with "Ashiqsayagi", one of the main pearls of Uzeyir Hajibeyli's musical heritage, The Caspian Post reports, citing AZERTAC.

This symbolic piece, which has deep roots in the Azerbaijani musical tradition, created an atmosphere of artistic dialogue between the national musical heritage and the modernity of the 20th century.

The musical evening was attended by Ambassador of Azerbaijan to France Leyla Abdullayeva, UNESCO Artist for Peace Hedva Ser, as well as a representative of the Ambassador of Mongolia to France.
