Tashkent Hosts French Music Festival

The grand opening of the French Music Festival took place at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, celebrating the rich cultural exchange between France and Uzbekistan through music.

Representatives of ministries and agencies, diplomatic corps accredited in Uzbekistan, international organizations, and foreign guests attended the event, The Caspian Post reports citing UzA.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan Aurelia Bouchez and Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov noted the festival’s role and importance in strengthening friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries.

The event was organized in cooperation with the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in France, and the State Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan.

The event will include interesting concerts, masterclasses, creative meetings, and musical evenings. It is expected that such events will also be held in Nukus.

The festival began with a concert program by famous French conductor Nathalie Marin. The State Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan performed works by renowned French composers Gabriel Fauré, Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, and Camille Saint-Saëns.

The French Music Festival will run until April 30.
