A delegation from Azerbaijan, led by Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, was received by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran.

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev conveyed the greetings of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to President Masoud Pezeshkian, The Caspian Post reports, citing AZERTAC.

The Iranian president expressed his gratitude for the greetings and asked Mustafayev to convey his best wishes to the Azerbaijani president.

The meeting highlighted that the shared history and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Iran have provided a solid foundation for further developing bilateral relations. In this context, the officials welcomed the current state of friendship and good-neighborly relations between the two countries and discussed ways to expand cooperation in the economic, trade, transport, and energy sectors.

The sides emphasized that the successful continuation of joint projects would make a significant contribution to the development of bilateral ties as well as regional development.
