Delegations from AZCON Holding and Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) have reviewed major port and terminal infrastructure in Kazakhstan as part of efforts to strengthen transport and logistics cooperation across the Caspian Sea.
During the visit, the delegations examined operations at the ports of Aktau and Kuryk, the Aktau Sea North Terminal, Aktau International Container Hub LLC, and the Sarja multimodal terminal. These facilities play a significant role in expanding regional logistics capacity and facilitating international freight transportation, The Caspian Post reports, citing ADY.
Meetings with port officials focused on enhancing cooperation between the Baku International Sea Trade Port and Kazakhstan’s Aktau and Kuryk ports. Discussions addressed ways to improve cargo-handling efficiency, strengthen operational coordination, and establish more effective digital data exchange between the facilities.
Participants emphasized the importance of closer coordination among Caspian ports to streamline transit cargo flows and boost the competitiveness of the Middle Corridor, a key trade route connecting Asia and Europe.
