Centrum Air Announces New Direct Route Connecting Tashkent and Ulan-Ude

Centrum Air announced it will begin regular direct flights on the Tashkent-Ulan-Ude-Tashkent route starting October 30.

The flights will operate once a week, every Thursday, using Airbus A320 aircraft, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

According to the management of Baikal Airport in the capital of Buryatia, Tashkent is viewed as a rapidly developing aviation hub in Central Asia. The Uzbek capital offers convenient connections to popular destinations such as Bangkok, Seoul, Guangzhou, Tbilisi, and Dubai.

The new route expands the geography of international flights from Buryatia’s capital and provides additional travel opportunities for local residents. It is also expected to significantly boost mutual tourism flows between Uzbekistan and Buryatia.

The opening of direct air service was first discussed in May 2025 during talks between Uzbekistan’s Consul General Aslam Akbarov and Buryatia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Food, Amgalan Darmaev.
