Iran, Uzbekistan Set to Boost Bilateral Trade

During his visit to Iran’s Alborz province, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Fariddin Nasriyev met with Parham Rezaei, Chairman of the Alborz Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.

Under the chairmanship of Parham Rezaei, a business forum was held with the participation of over 40 leading companies from Alborz province and representatives of business communities, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

The event also included a presentation highlighting Uzbekistan’s trade, economic, investment, and tourism potential.

In his speech, the Ambassador provided a detailed overview of the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, emphasizing the favorable conditions, preferences, and incentives created for investors and entrepreneurs. Corresponding video presentations were also demonstrated.

Iranian entrepreneurs praised the ongoing reforms and expressed their readiness to contribute to enhancing mutual trade between Uzbekistan and Iran.

The parties agreed to hold a joint business forum in 2025 in Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of Alborz province and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan. They also agreed to organize exchanges of delegations aimed at increasing bilateral trade and attracting investments.
