Mongolia’s Government Greenlights Team to Organize Fifth Mongolia-China Expo

Mongolia’s government has approved the new composition of the Working Group tasked with preparing and managing the fifth Mongolia-China Expo.

The group will also coordinate cooperation between public and private sectors to ensure the event’s smooth execution, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The biennial expo, jointly organized by Mongolia and the People’s Republic of China, is scheduled for August 25-30, 2025, in Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The event serves as a strategic platform to deepen trade relations and aims to help both countries increase bilateral trade to $20 billion in the near future.

Led by Mongolia’s Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry, the Expo will feature four key components: economic and trade forums, bilateral agreement signings and business matchmaking, cultural and humanitarian exchanges, and product exhibitions.

Participation is expected from over 3,000 enterprises representing Mongolia, China, and five other countries, including Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as several Chinese provinces.

A special highlight will be the “Exhibition of Mongolian Identity,” a pavilion dedicated to showcasing Mongolia’s rich cultural heritage, traditions, and national identity. More than 500 Mongolian companies will showcase their products and services throughout the event.

Separately, Mongolia and Türkiye are set to expand their historical and cultural cooperation, further strengthening regional ties.
