The next session of the Collective Security Council (CSC) of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will be held on November 28 in Astana.

The leaders of CSTO member countries will focus on priority areas of activity during Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship of the organization, as confirmed by Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov, The Caspian Post reports, citing Russian media.

Ushakov also announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Kazakhstan on November 27-28 and participate in the CSC session. The plenary will address two key topics: Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship priorities, with President Sadyr Japarov reporting, and the review of documents for the session of the Collective Security Council.

The meeting will cover regional and international security issues, given the increasing threats to stability in the CSTO's area of responsibility and adjacent regions. A significant focus will be on forming a new architecture of equal, indivisible security in Eurasia.

Two types of meetings are scheduled: one in a narrow format, with CSTO leaders only, to address current security challenges, and another expanded session. Ushakov emphasized that the informal discussions following these meetings are typically of particular interest.
