Kazakhstan to Build Another Airport in Eastern Region
“The construction of the airport will facilitate the growth of the tourism industry in the region and enhance the quality of life of locals," the deputy akim of Zaisan district stated.

The development of project documentation for a new airport in Zaisan district, East Kazakhstan, has officially commenced.
During a briefing in the regional communications service of the East Kazakhstan region, the deputy akim of Zaisan district, Nurgaini Kabidoldina, noted the construction of a new airport is to be carried out in Satpay settlement, located 28 kilometers from the city of Zaisan, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.
“The construction of the airport will facilitate the growth of the tourism industry in the region and enhance the quality of life of locals. In addition, we plan to develop modern infrastructure, including new roads, logistics warehouses and other facilities that will improve transport accessibility,” she highlighted.
Furthermore, the reconstruction of the Omsk - Maikapshagai motorway will facilitate the growth of the tourism industry in the district. The work is being carried out by order of JSC “NC “QazAvtoJol”, with a budget of 17.4 billion tenge allocated for the project.
The launch of these major infrastructure projects is expected to enhance the economic potential of the region, optimize transport logistics in the east of Kazakhstan and have a beneficial impact on the development of local businesses.
