UN Chief Guterres Presented With Commemorative Coin Symbolizing Nizami Ganjavi"s Heritage

A special meeting was held with UN Secretary-General António Guterres during the 10th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations in Cascais, Portugal. 

The discussions covered the upcoming COP29 climate summit, global challenges, and potential solutions, with both parties stressing the importance of ongoing dialogue on these critical issues, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC).

The Secretary-General was also briefed on the Global Baku Forums organized by the NGIC and its collaboration with the UN Alliance of Civilizations, along with other related initiatives. 

To conclude the meeting, Guterres was presented with a commemorative coin featuring illustrated manuscripts of Nizami Ganjavi's famous work, Khamsa, as a tribute to the poet's cultural legacy.
