On September 30, Rovshan Najaf, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), met with Rami Yassine, President of the Eastern Hemisphere at U.S.-based Halliburton.

During the meeting, the sides noted Halliburton’s successful operations in Azerbaijan over many years, The Caspian Post reports.

They expressed satisfaction with the existing cooperation between SOCAR and Halliburton and discussed opportunities to expand their partnership in SOCAR projects in Azerbaijan and other countries.

Yassine was briefed on SOCAR’s digitalization efforts and the implementation of artificial intelligence solutions. In this regard, the sides highlighted the inclusion of SOCAR’s Carbamide Plant in the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network.

The parties also exchanged views on potential cooperation in oil and gas field development, improving production efficiency, digitalization, the application of innovative technologies, and other issues of mutual interest.
